I wanted to create an abstract that gave the impression of water cascading down a mountainside.i used a heavy impasto technique applying oils with blue and white tones.I used both a squeegy and palette knife to achieve a dramatic and energetic effect .It is quite liberating to apply paint in this way .You can be expressive without the need to think about realistic content.
