I find the Stags' Antlers on the Isle of Lewis fascinating. I painted this one with loose, free brushstrokes whipping up inbetween the painted portraits of Stags. I painted them listening to the stags rutting in the mountains. I created the heads going around the edges on the box canvas. It has sold numerous cards and prints and been a favourite of the tourists in my gallery since I painted.
