I have enjoyed the development of the Forth Bridges all my life. I travelled back and forth over the Rail Bridge, visiting family, as a child. I watched the Road Bridge being built and was at it’s opening in 1964 when I was 12. I was involved with the development of the Queensferry Crossing as a teacher and artist. This painting is my artistic interpretation for dramatic effect. I hope it communicates some of the passion I feel as I still cross all three bridges often.
