This painting was painted in collaboration with italian dancer, choreographer, Santino Ragusa, whose creativity and beauty perfectly complement each other, inspiring beautiful paintings.
One of my series of works where the nude, like a chameleon, is clothed in color, changing its mood before the eyes of the viewer. I like to work with pure colors, applying layer after layer. Like colored filters through which light passes. You wade through the colors, striving for an exit, and when the path ends, you are left with an invisible imprint of a hue that only you chose to wear. The work is built on contrasts. The contrast is tactile and visual as well as emotional.
Male nature is one of the most important themes in my work, along with female nature. I do not share their importance, on the contrary, my love for the beauty of the human body is almost unconditional. It is my passion. Through the prism of my art, I receive complete emotional and spiritual fulfillment. And as an artist, I can do whatever I want. Often I make references to the significance of some meaning that is important only to me, and sometimes it is just a tribute to beauty, beautiful images, an ode to the kiss of life.
ABOUT THE PROCESS
I may choose different ways of working each time I paint on canvas, but ultimately I arrive at the same result in the process, the result is my essence. I combine reality and the metamorphosis of my own feelings. The most important theme of my work is sexuality and sensuality. Beauty lies on the surface and whoever tries to penetrate deeper than the surface takes a risk. That's the point. The viewer sees his reflection, not life at all. My goal is to hide the artist and show people themselves, to show the viewer that we are more than what we see, to become the chosen one of our beauty.
