North Wales is a place I have visited regularly since I was a boy. This is the view across the Menai Straits from Beaumaris, which has a rather marvellous castle, as well as very good fish and chips. I ate mine on the seafront, looking across the water to the mountains of Snowdonia, and drinking in the view.
This is an oil painting on stretched canvas. I used a loose, impressionist style, and a limited palette to capture the serenity of the moment.
