Owlet Woods is a remnant of ancient woodland and has something of an atmosphere, particularly on a winters day when the sun is low in the sky and the mist rises up from the Trent. I love the trees here, and I’ve walked among them many times. This view is from a day when the clouds were directly above us but as the sun set the light slipped underneath.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas, beautifully framed in a hand-made, natural wood frame.
