Presenting another piece in my series of small head studies: "Ouma" meaning Grandmother. This character is not modeled after a real individual but is a composite from various inspirations. The portrait, rendered in oils over an acrylic base, against a dark backdrop, is painted on an 8" x 8" standard canvas.
