An exceptional portrait for me as it is a head and shoulders portrait of Nicole Kidman, Australian actor - I rarely do famous faces but I was drawn to this because of the dramatic backlighting involved. Much of my work uses the use of strong or "contre-jour" lighting whether it is landscape, still life or, as in this case portraiture.
