The weather, usually quite great in May, was somewhat difficult. But more difficult was that we needed to hire a car on the island, which, as it turned out, was impossible.\r\n\r\nInverness is the best place to rent a car in the Highlands. Other places like the Isle of Skye, Fort William, Kyle of Lochalsh, or Oban can be somehow tricky.\r\n\r\nMaterials: paper illustration board, oil-based coloured pencils \"Polychromos\" by Faber-Castell, Derwent Lightfast Pencils, varnish for drawings.\r\nStyle: realism influenced by impressionism\r\nSize: 35 x 25 x 0.2 cm; the artwork itself is 32.5 x 22.8 cm; this leads to a clean margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat\r\nThis artwork is not framed.\r\nThe 2nd image shows how the drawing can look in a frame and hanging on a wall.
