The Hills of Northumberland is a landscape artwork. It is an original drawing. You can also call it a painting because I have drawn it with oil-based pencils and a solvent.
You see lots of hills in this work. Some are green or yellow-green, some are reddish or purple, and some are orange because it is autumn. It is a sunny day with some clouds around. These are causing shadows on the landscape in some places.
Materials: oil-based coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, solvent, varnish for drawings, specialist heavy paper 300 gsm
Style: realism influenced by impressionism
Size: 35.4 x 25.2 x 0.1 cm. The artwork itself is 31 x 22.5 cm; this leads to a clean margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat.
This artwork is not framed.
