I was inspired by the huge piles of fishing nets and floats on the quayside in Port Vendres, France. I wanted the floats to really stand out against the dark purply black nets. I used oils to create some texture and liquid acrylic on a linen canvas and painted around the edges so it can be hung on the wall without a frame.
