The Abstract British Landscape V is a semi-abstract landscape and an original composition drawing. You may recognise an open blue sky, a reddish castle ruin in the background, and green hills in the drawing's foreground. I have varnished the artwork several times with Winsor and Newton's specialist fixative for coloured pencils to protect the artwork. I have used vivid and intense colours in this work. You'll find a beautiful mix of azurite, lapis lazuli, cobalt, and sky blue. The meadows before the castle are bright green; I have mixed avocado green with fern, mantis and shamrock greens. The medieval building is striking in colours: yellows mixed with reds and atomic tangerines. To make it more delicious, I have added some pumpkin and persimmon too :-) I have drawn the abstract landscape on a Stonehenge vellum finish, 250 gsm sheet of paper, in the size of 29 x 22 x 0.1 cm (this is the exact dimension of the drawing itself). The drawing is mounted (US: matted) in a 40 x 30 cm mat, but it is sold unframed. Materials used: Stonehenge sheet of paper, professional-grade coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, varnish for drawings by Winsor & Newton Style: impressionistic The second image shows the matted (GB: mounted) artwork and the third picture shows how the drawing may look in a frame and on a wall.
