From a photo that a relative took while touring Hong Kong. The reflections were fantastic. I had to paint this with their permission, of course.
I have painted a lot of pictures in this style.
As painted, I wonder what is happening behind the millions of lights.
The business of the place can be seen in the brightness of the lights. I think this feeling captures the unforeseen viewer
looking on.
I painted it in oil, giving me the desired intensity of colour.
It took me ages to paint, and I enjoyed every second.
The viewer can look at this painting for years and always find something new!
